Thank you Jamie Zawinski

jwz.orgIt's an extremely busy few weeks, so I thought I'd let someone else write. (Just kidding.)

Years ago when I first got on the Web, I came across the website of Jamie Zawinski: jwz.org. I must admit that I'm an avid reader. I've read most of his site at one time or another.

What about Jamie Zawinski?

"Here are some excerpts from my diary during the first few months of the existence of Netscape Communications (All Praise the Company), back when we were still called Mosaic. Back when there were only 20 or 30 of us, instead of however-many thousands of people there are today. Back before we had any middle managers."

More quotes:

And, let's face it, ya gotta like a guy who has this at the top of his article index page:

I hope you know
that this will go down
on your permanent record.

If it weren't for Mr. Zawinski and people like him, you and I likely would not be doing what we do now.

Yes, I know that I sometimes get enthralled by … whatever. But, hey, if you can't get enthralled by things, what have you got left? :-)
