Adobe News

The February 4, 2006 issue of the Adobe (Macromedia) The Edge Newsletter includes this entry:

Calling All Photographers: Adobe Lightroom Beta Is Here

With Lightroom, Adobe looks to engage photographers in a new way, giving them the opportunity to help build a tool that will significantly enhance their workflow.

And, from the website:

The Lightroom product team is excited to be working with our new colleagues on the Adobe Labs website. In one of its first post-integration product collaborations, Adobe invites customers to help shape software that will dramatically enhance photographers' workflow.

Interesting, because Macromedia was rather famous for engaging the commmunity(ies); an approachable company providing useful products to the Web industry. The above newsletter quotes suggest that the new "integrated" Adobe is taking the same brilliant tack. They also convey a sense of excitement from the Macromedia folks.

Kudos, all.

And, on that same note: blogs.adobe.com.
